About Our Vet Clinics in St-Pierre-Jolys and Vita

St Pierre Veterinary Hospital and Vita Veterinary Clinic are operated under the name Graydon Veterinary Corporation, but are in fact PRIVATELY owned. Our vet clinics offer medical care for livestock and companion animals.

About Our Founder:

Dr. Venessa Graydon


Dr. Graydon grew up in the Winnipeg/Oakbank area of Manitoba and attended the University of Manitoba until being accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She has been practicing mixed animal veterinary medicine since 2006.


In May 2009, she began running her own clinics in St-Pierre-Jolys and Vita. Dr. Graydon enjoys practicing in a rural area and loves the variety of working with both companion and agricultural animals. In her time off, Dr. Graydon enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Kane and their 250 beef cows.

About  Dr. Courtney Funk

Associate Veterinarian


Dr. Funk grew up close to Mitchell, MB on a hobby farm with horses, cows, chickens, dogs, and cats. She attended the University of Manitoba in the Animal Science program before being accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon.


She loves the variety of work that comes with mixed animal practice, and especially enjoys surgery and equine medicine. In her free time, Dr. Funk likes to spend time outdoors hiking, kayaking, and gardening. She loves living in the country with her variety of pets, including cats, chickens, and her horse.

Jessee-Lee

Registered Veterinary Technologist


Jessee-Lee joined the GVC team in October 2015 shortly after graduating from the Animal Health Technology program at RRC. At the clinic she enjoys Dental cleanings, phlebotomy and monitoring anesthesia; her favourite being exploratory surgeries. In 2017 Jessee and her husband moved from Winnipeg to the RM of Hanover to enjoy the country lifestyle.


In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities such as quadding, snowmobiling and gardening. She currently has 2 Shih Tzu's named Bailey and Luna, 10 chickens and 2 horses; Belle and Missy.

Alyssa

Registered Veterinary Technologist


Alyssa joined the Graydon Veterinary Corporation team in April 2018. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Red River College in May of 2016. In her free time, she loves to dance, read, or spend time with her friends and family. She has two cats, Ebony and Niko, and her dog Nyx.

Juliane

Registered Veterinary Technologist


Juliane joined the Graydon Vet team in June 2023 right after graduating from the Veterinary Technology program in May 2023. She has one dog, Charlie; and enjoys reading and hiking in her free time.

Nicol

Registered Veterinary Technologist


Nicol originally joined the Graydon Veterinary Corporation team in 2021 as a Veterinary Office Assistant before leaving to complete the Veterinary Technology program and returning in May, 2024. Outside of work, Nicol enjoys baking, listening to music, and watching documentaries.

AIisa

Certified Veterinary Practice Manager


Alisa has been with Graydon Vet since 2015, working her way through the company to become the Practice Manager and earning her CVPM degree in 2023. Alisa's favorite part of working at Graydon Vet is cultivating relationships with clients, patients and staff, and that no two days are ever the same! In her personal time Alisa enjoys reading, being outside and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Carlynn

Client Service Representative


Carlynn joined the Graydon Vet team in November 2020. She completed her equine massage course in 2018 and is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist. She owns two dogs named Ace (border collie) and Deetz (heeler x aussie). When she is not at the clinic she enjoys riding her horses and competing at rodeos through the summer.

Julie

Client Service Representative


Julie was born and raised in Manitoba, having lived a few different places before finding a home in Gardenton with her 3 dogs and 2 cats. Julie is happy to have found a job she is passionate about and in her community. When she is not working she spends her time playing or listening to music, spending time outdoors, and taking care of her home, yard and pets.

Evelyn

Customer Service Representative


 Evelyn joined the Graydon Vet team in 2024! She enjoys baking, spending time with her family and her 3 dogs; Rosie (Pomeranian X), Nola (American Eskimo), and Mocha (Chocolate Lab).

Jenessa

Veterinary Office Assistant


Jenessa was born and raised on a farm south of MacGregor, MB. Jenessa moved to the community with her husband, son, and dog Bella (a Rottweiler). In the summer they love going kayaking, camping, and just spending time outdoors.

Ananda

Veterinary Office Assistant


Ananda is a veterinary assistant currently studying Veterinary Technology at Penn Foster, with plans to graduate in 2028. She has always been passionate about animal care, and working with animals every day truly fulfills her. Knowing that she can make a difference in their lives is what drives her in this field. Outside of work, Ananda spends a lot of time with her pets; two Yorkies, Cristal and King, and two cats, Agatha and Juno. Juno was adopted locally, while her other pets traveled with her from Brazil. When she is not with them, she enjoys playing video games and collecting Pokémon cards.
